What Is a Saudi Arabia Work Visa?

A Saudi Arabia work visa, sometimes called an employment visa, allows you to work legally in Saudi Arabia. To apply, you need a job offer from a Saudi employer who agrees to sponsor your application.

Once issued, this visa also acts as your residency permit, known as an Iqama, for the length of your contract.

    Managed For You

    What CLS Manages for You

    Document preparation and attestation

We help prepare and verify documents, including qualification, police clearance, medical and supporting documents.

    Visa processing and government coordination

We prepare the application, verify visa authorisation and coordinate Tasheer and sponsor requirements.

    Corporate and employer support

For businesses relocating staff, we coordinate multiple applications, manage communication with HR teams and provide guidance for each employee.

    WHAT IS TASHEER?

Tasheer is the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs' visa processing network — where applications are formally lodged and biometric data is captured ahead of issuance. It's also one of the more common places a case stalls: an incorrect category, a mismatched document, or a missed appointment requirement can mean resubmitting rather than correcting. We manage Tasheer lodgement as part of every Work Visa case, so it's the conclusion of a prepared application, not where problems surface first.

I recently required document legalisation from an embassy in Canberra, which was complicated to arrange from Perth. The CLS Legalisation Team were responsive and helpful, and assisted me in getting the process completed in a timely manner. I have previously used CLS for assistance in obtaining business visas to less-frequented countries and they have always provided a professional, efficient service.
