General Information
Passport You must send your physical passport; copies cannot be used for visa issuance. Your passport must be valid and contain sufficient blank visa pages. Visas are stamps affixed to the blank "visa" pages of your passport. Amendment pages (clearly marked as such) in the back of your passport are not acceptable for visa issuance. The passport's expiration date must be greater than six months from the date you plan to depart the country you intend to visit. If your passport does not meet the requirements, you must renew your passport or obtain a new one prior to obtaining the visa.
Passport-Style Photographs Passport photographs must meet Passport Photograph Regulations; recently taken and showing current appearance on a plain, white background. Ensure that there is no damage to these photos and do not staple or glue the photos to the application.
Visa Requirements ♦ Applicants current valid passport. Passport must have sufficient pages (minimum of 5 blank pages and the validity of the passport must not be less than 6 months validity).
♦ One (1) original application form (faxes or photocopies will not be accepted). Form is to be signed by the applicant. The parents or guardians can sign on behalf of their children if the children are unable to sign the form. Incomplete applications or if relevant documents are not attached, the application in whole may be returned and will result in a delay of the visa processing.
♦ One (1) recently taken passport size photograph. (One for each dependant travelling on the same passport)
♦ Appropriate applicable visa fee, please see below for current fees and acceptable forms of payment.
♦ Copy of confirmed return airlines ticket or flight itinerary from the travel agent. Other supporting documents such as letter from the sponsor (may be required), confirmation of hotel reservations, contact address in Brunei Darussalam, relationship with the host in Brunei Darussalam and letter explanation from the applicants.
♦ Sufficient funds to cover costs while in Brunei Darussalam. A copy of a recent Bank Statement is also recommended to be submited with all other supporting documentation.
Former Citizen / Permanent Resident or Stateless of Brunei Darussalam are required to return all Brunei Passports/travel documents and identity cards with their visa applications.
Note There is a maximum of 14 days for each stay. The validity of visa issued for Single and Multiple Entry is 3 months. If the applicant wish to stay longer than 14 days, applicant can do so by submitting their application through Immigration Department in Brunei Darussalam- subject to local sponsor and approval. It is advisable to forward visa application approximately 30 days before entering Brunei.
Single Entry is meant for one entry while Multiple Entry can be used as long as the validity of the visa is still valid.

Visa fee is to be paid in the form of Bank Cheque or Australian Post Money Order in favour of 'High Commission of Brunei Darussalam'. Visa fee is not refundable whether visa is issued or not.
Processing Time Visas can be processed in a minimum of five (5) working days. However, some visa applications may be referred to Brunei Darussalam for approval.
Once all applicable required forms and documentation has been fully completed and signed were applicable (as per above) and your passport is supplied, please send to our office in Canberra and we will begin the visa processing stage in association with the embassy. Please also ensure that once you have completed all applicable forms and supplied your passport that you also fully complete and signed
