General Information
Please note that Algerian visa requirements change regularly. Passport You must send your physical passport; copies cannot be used for visa issuance. Your passport must be valid and contain sufficient blank visa pages. Visas are stamps affixed to the blank "visa" pages of your passport. Amendment pages (clearly marked as such) in the back of your passport are not acceptable for visa issuance. The passport's expiration date must be greater than six months from the date you plan to depart the country you intend to visit. If your passport does not meet the requirements, you must renew your passport or obtain a new one prior to obtaining the visa.
Passport-Style Photographs Passport photographs must meet Passport Photograph Regulations; recently taken and showing current appearance on a plain, white background. Ensure that there is no damage to these photos and do not staple or glue the photos to the application form.
Visa Requirements ♦ Passport valid for at least 6 months. (Proof of residency in Australia is also required if you do not hold an Australian passport.)
♦ Two (2) application forms: Please ensure that this form is fully filled, signed and dated at the bottom. Also, if a question does not apply to you please ensure that you write 'not applicable
♦ Two (2) recent passport size photographs (scanned photos are not accepted). Proof of Travel Insurance ♦Proof of Travel details, showing in and out of Algeria. Itinerary is suitable and preferred. ♦ Applicable embassy visa fee, please see below for current fees and acceptable forms of payment.
Specific Requirements Business Visa ♦ Letter of Invitation or sponsorship letter from a company/business in Algeria is required, stating applicants details, profession and purpose of travel.
♦ A recommendation letter from the company of employment.
Work Visa ♦ A "work permit" or a "provisional work Permit" delivered by the services in charge of employment in Algeria.
♦ Letter in which the employers certifies to undertake full financial responsibilities for repatriation of their foreign workers upon completion of their work contract.
Tourist Visa ♦ A return ticket when traveling by air or sea.
♦ A "certificat d'hebergement" signed by your host in Algeria and authenticated by the local authorities in your host's hometown (please note that your host must be a resident of Algeria) or; a confirmation of a hotel booking or; an invitation from an algerian travel agency.
♦ Itinerary details including approximate dates and location to be visited.
Family Visa ♦ A copy of your spouse's registration card.
♦ If you have children traveling with you, they should either hold individual passports or be on the parent's passport.
♦ For children traveling with their mother only, a travel authorization form signed by the father is required.
Transit Visa ♦ You must have been granted the visa for the final destination.
♦ Provide your travel itinerary.
Embassy Fees Australian citizens - ($90 US ) - (Fee is $80 US by Bank transfer + $10 US for Bank fees )
New Zealand citizens - ($110 US) - (Fee is $100 US by Bank transfer and $10 US for Bank fees)

Processing Time Visas can be processed within 6-8 weeks for Australian passport holders, assuming that the required documentation is provided and that all terms and conditions are met. For other nationalities, the process may take longer. Once all applicable required forms and documentation has been fully completed and signed were applicable (as per above) and your passport is supplied, please send to our office in Canberra and we will begin the visa processing stage in association with the embassy. Please also ensure that once you have completed all applicable forms and supplied your passport that you also fully complete and signed
