 Passport

You must send your physical passport; copies cannot be used for visa issuance. Your passport must be valid and contain sufficient blank visa pages. Visas are stamps affixed to the blank "visa" pages of your passport. Amendment pages (clearly marked as such) in the back of your passport are not acceptable for visa issuance. The passport's expiration date must be greater than six months from the date you plan to depart the country you intend to visit. If your passport does not meet the requirements, you must renew your passport or obtain a new one prior to obtaining the visa.   

Passport-Style Photographs

Passport photographs must meet Passport Photograph Regulations; recently taken and showing current appearance on a white, plain background. Ensure that there is no damage to these photos and do not staple or glue the photos to the application form.       

Visa Requirements

♦ Applicants passport with at least 6 months validity remaining, (Should you need your passport for other purposes while your visa application is under process, you must send a copy of the main pages. You can send your passport later for evidencing the visa.)
♦ One (1) Application form: Please ensure that this form is fully completed, signed and dated were applicable. Also, if a question does not apply to you please ensure that you write 'not applicable' in full. 
♦ Two (2) recently taken passport size photographs

Note:

♦If employment is the purpose of your visit, please contact your employer to send a letter of introduction detailing your purpose of visit to Afganistan to The Ministrty of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan in Kabul, who will then send authorisation of issuance of Visa. NOTE: A visa can not be issued unless MFA sends the authorisation.

♦If visiting family of friends, please furnish a letter of introduction from whom you intend to visit in Afghanistan.

Visa Fee in the Guidelines depends on the current exchange rate of Australian Dollar to US Dollar, it is fluctuating, please confirm the amount by contacting the Embassy 
Appropriate Applicable visa fee is to be paid by either company cheque or money order, made payable to the "Embassy Of Afghanistan."

Processing Time

Visas can be processed within five (5) working days given that the required documentation is provided and that the terms and conditions are all met.
Once all applicable required forms and documentation has been fully completed and signed were applicable (as per above) and your passport is supplied, please send to our office in Canberra and we will begin the visa processing stage in association with the embassy. Please also ensure that once you have completed all applicable forms and supplied your passport that you also fully complete and signed.
