Passport
You must send your physical passport; copies cannot be used for visa issuance. Your passport must be valid and contain sufficient blank visa pages. Visas are stamps affixed to the blank "visa" pages of your passport. Amendment pages (clearly marked as such) in the back of your passport are not acceptable for visa issuance. The passport's expiration date must be greater than six months from the date you plan to depart the country you intend to visit. If your passport does not meet the requirements, you must renew your passport or obtain a new one prior to obtaining the visa.

Passport-Style Photographs
Passport photographs must meet Passport Photograph Regulations; recently taken and showing current appearance with a white background. Ensure that there is no damage to these photos and do not staple or glue the photos to the application.

Visa Requirements
-One (1) Completed application form, signed and dated were applicable.
-One (1) recent Passport-sized photograph.
-Applicable Visa fee, see below for current prices and acceptable methods of payment.

Tourist Visa
Applications for a tourist visa must be accompanied by either a copy of the travel itinerary showing arrival and departure dates; a copy of the letter from the tour company if on an organised tour, or a covering letter explaining the travel arrangements and intended dates of arrival in, and departure from, Mongolia.

Business Visa
Applications for a business visa must be accompanied by a letter of invitation from the hosting company or individual, together with a copy of the travel itinerary showing arrival and departure dates.

Note
The visas are valid for 90 days from the date of issue and you can enter Mongolia at any time up to the last date on the visa. The 90 day period does not need to cover the whole time in the country, so long as you have entered before the last date shown on the visa.

Multiple-entry Visas  (6 months)
Multiple entry visas are available for Business or Work visas. Multiple-entry visas are available only for the applicants who has the permision from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Mongolia

Multiple-entry Visa (12 months)
Multiple entry visas for 12 months are available only for the applicants who has the permision from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Mongolia

Student visas (Category S)
Must be arranged in advance with the OINFC by the university or other institution with whom the applicant will be studying. As with an HG visa, when arrangements are complete, the OINFC will notify the Consulate in Sydney to issue a 30-day student visa which will be extended for the appropriate duration when the applicant has commenced the course of study.

Processing Time
Applications will normally be processed and returned within 3 to 5 days. Urgent applications can generally be processed within 48 hours. An additional urgent charge of $100 for single entry and $200 for multiple  per visa request applies, as per above.
 
The above estimated fees are for Consulate/Embassy visa fees and CLS processing fees:
• The fees above are quoted for ONE Australian passport holder traveller
• For payment of visa fees via money order, an additional $7.00 will be charged for the purchase of the money order
• For return courier, additional fees will be incurred.

Once the applicant has completed all required forms and documentation, signed were applicable; please provide it along with the applicant's passport to CLS' office in Canberra. After all of the correct documentation has been received, we will begin the visa processing stage in association with the Embassy or Consulate.
