Passport
You must send your physical passport; copies cannot be used for visa issuance. Your passport must be valid and contain sufficient blank visa pages. Visas are stamps affixed to the blank "visa" pages of your passport. Amendment pages (clearly marked as such) in the back of your passport are not acceptable for visa issuance. The passport's expiration date must be greater than six months from the date you plan to depart the country you intend to visit. If your passport does not meet the requirements, you must renew your passport or obtain a new one prior to obtaining the visa.

Passport-Style Photographs
Passport photographs must meet Passport Photograph Regulations; recently taken and showing current appearance with a white background. Ensure that there is no damage to these photos and do not staple or glue the photos to the application.

Visa Requirements
-Passport with at least 2 months validity.
-Visa Application Form, in duplicate, duly filled and completed. Please ensure that this form is fully filled, signed and dated at the bottom. Also, if a question does not apply to you please ensure that you write 'not applicable'.
-Two recent (2) Passport size photographs- one on each application form.
-Copy of the front pages of the passport where the identity of the bearer is shown together with the details of the passport (No., Place & Date of issue, Validity … )
-Appropriate Visa Applicable fee, see below for current prices and acceptable forms of payment.

Specific Requirements

1. DIPLOMATIC and OFFICIAL Visas: Issued solely to holders of Diplomatic, Special or Service passports, as well as to the Staff of International Organizations, upon presentation of a Note from their Relevant Authority: Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade or Diplomatic Mission or UN Organization, indicating the purpose of the trip, the date of arrival in Lebanon and the length of stay. These visas are Courtesy visas.

2. RESIDENCE visa (Sejour): entitles the holder for a stay up to the end of validity of the visa. The motives for the trip may be:

BUSINESS: Visa applicants to attend business meetings, conferences, seminars in Lebanon should provide information about the nature of their business and information on the conference/seminar, its venue, date as well as the phone and fax numbers of the organizers in Lebanon. This details can simply be on a Business letter, this must be printed on the companies letter head and must be signed.

4. TOURISM: Collective visas are possible in case of group travel.
Family/Friends VISIT: provide full details of members in Lebanon and their addresses.

5. STUDENT Visa: Foreign students intending to pursue University studies in Lebanon may apply for a student visa through the University’s Administration in order to obtain the prior authorization of the Directorate General of the General Security. Once this authorization is granted, it will be communicated to the Embassy or one of the Consulates of Lebanon in the country of residence through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. A visa valid for one month will be issued. Arab students who fulfill their registration conditions may obtain their visas free of charge at points of entry into Lebanon. Students are required to obtain the appropriate Residence Permit once in Lebanon. A prospective student must provide proof by means of a bank statement that he is financially capable of paying for his tuition and accommodation in Lebanon.

6. EMPLOYMENT visa: Applications for employment are submitted by the Lebanese company or person representing the applicant/s to the Ministry of Labor for prior approval. Thereafter, these representatives should present the application form to the Directorate General of the General Security for its approval. The approval is communicated to the Embassy or one of the Consulates of Lebanon, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

7. PALESTINIAN REFUGEES: Effective January 16, 1999, Palestinians holding a Lebanese Travel Document do not need a visa to travel in and out of Lebanon.

8. TRANSIT Visa: Issued only for a single entry, valid for a maximum period of 15 days.

NOTE:
A Lebanese visa will not be issued on any passport or Travel Document stamped with an Israeli visa or seal. Moreover, a Lebanese visa is rendered invalid if an Israeli visa or seal will be stamped on the passport.
Embassy Visa Fees A Money Order or a Bank Cheque for the relevant amount as per above made payable to the “Embassy of Lebanon”.
NOTE: All passengers arriving in Lebanon from infected areas should comply with the international health regulations. Passengers arriving from countries suffering from plague, or yellow fever, or cholera should present a vaccination certificate. Applicants for employment visas should comply with the health requirements laid down by the Lebanese Ministry of Health.
Processing Time
Visas can be processed within seven (7) working days assuming that the required documents are provided and that all conditions are met.
 
The above estimated fees are for Consulate/Embassy visa fees and CLS processing fees:
• The fees above are quoted for ONE Australian passport holder traveller
• For payment of visa fees via money order, an additional $6.00 will be charged for the purchase of the money order
• For return courier, additional fees will be incurred.

Once the applicant has completed all required forms and documentation, signed were applicable; please provide it along with the applicant's passport to CLS' office in Canberra. After all of the correct documentation has been received, we will begin the visa processing stage in association with the Embassy or Consulate.
