You must send your physical passport; copies cannot be used for visa issuance. Your passport must be valid and contain sufficient blank visa pages. Visas are stamps affixed to the blank "visa" pages of your passport. Amendment pages (clearly marked as such) in the back of your passport are not acceptable for visa issuance. The passport's expiration date must be greater than six months from the date you plan to depart the country you intend to visit. If your passport does not meet the requirements, you must renew your passport or obtain a new one prior to obtaining the visa.
Passport-Style Photographs
Passport photographs must meet Passport Photograph Regulations; recently taken and showing current appearance on a plain, white background. Ensure that there is no damage to these photos and do not staple or glue the photos to the application.
Visa Requirements
♦ Applicants Passport with at least 6 months validity remaining from the date of issue of the visa.
♦ One (1) Application form: Please ensure that this form is fully filled, signed and dated at the bottom. Also, if a question does not apply to you please ensure that you write 'not applicable'.
♦ Two (2) Passport size photographs
♦ Appropriate Visa Applicable fee, see below for current prices and acceptable forms of payment.
♦ Proof Of Travel, in form of itinerary or airways travel ticket
Note
You are requested to contact with your Lao partner(s) or sponsor(s) and request them to arrange the visa authorization for you from the Lao Ministries concerned. To facilitate your Lao partners to get a business visa approval for you, you should supply to them the following information:
(1) Information about yourself such as full name, date and place of birth, nationality.
(2) Your passport number and type, dates of issue and expiration date.
(3) Proposed dates of entry into and exit from Laos.
(4) Type of visa requires (single/double/multiple)
(5) Where you want to collect the visa.

Urgent $60.00
Must be payed via Australian Money Order made to 'Laos Embassy', otherwise exact cash payment will be accepted.
Processing Time
Normally, it takes 5-10 working days to process a visa from the date of receiving of the completed Application Form.
The above estimated fees are for Consulate/Embassy visa fee and CLS processing fee:
♦ The fees above are quoted for ONE New Zealand passport holder traveler
♦ Addition NZD $78.00 + GST for any extra Application (Passport) in the same package + Embassy visa fee
♦ For payment of visa fees via money order, an additional $7.00 will be charged for the purchase of the money order
