Passport
You must send your physical passport; copies cannot be used for visa issuance. Your passport must be valid and contain at least two adjacent blank visa pages. Visas are stamps affixed to the blank "visa" pages of your passport. Amendment pages (clearly marked as such) in the back of your passport are not acceptable for visa issuance. The passport's expiration date must be greater than six months from the date you plan to depart the country you intend to visit. If your passport does not meet the requirements, you must renew your passport or obtain a new one prior to obtaining the visa.
Passport-Style Photographs
Passport photographs must meet Passport Photograph Regulations; recently taken and showing current appearance with a white background. Ensure that there is no damage to these photos and do not staple or glue the photos to the application.
Visa Requirements
Single entry business, tourist and private visas
♦ A valid passport (a photocopy will not be accepted) which should have at least one blank page for a visa. The passport must be valid for at least six months longer than the validity of the requested visa.
♦ One (1) passport size photo of the applicant which should be stapled/paste to the marked space in the upper right hand corner of the application form.
♦ In order to apply for Kazakhstan single entry business, tourist and private visas, you will need to provide the following documents:
♦ A letter with request to issue a visa addressed to the Consular Section of the Embassy of Kazakhstan. Please, indicate the purpose of your trip, your contact in Kazakhstan, the dates of your planned trip, and places to be visited.
♦ A completed visa application form (one per person). All fields must be completed and signed, otherwise your application can be refused, and thus no visa issued
NOTE: A tourist visa cannot be extended in Kazakhstan.
Business Visas
♦ A valid passport (a photocopy will not be accepted) which should have at least one blank page for a visa. Your passport must be valid for at least six months longer than the validity of the requested visa.
♦ One (1) passport size photo of the applicant which should be stapled/paste to the marked space in the upper right-hand corner of the application form.
If you apply for double, triple or multiple entry visas for up to one year, a copy of the invitation letter from a host organization in Kazakhstan is needed. This letter must be submitted by the host organization in Kazakhstan to the Department of Consular Services of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The Department of Consular Services must provide the host company with a reference number. In addition, a cover letter from the applicant’s company, briefly summarizing the purpose of the visit and including some information about the company or organization should be attached.
♦ A completed visa application form (one per person).
Private Visas (available for single entry only)
♦ A valid passport (a photocopy will not be accepted) which should have at least one blank page for a visa. Your passport must be valid for at least six months longer than the validity of the requested visa.
♦ One (1) passport size photo of the applicant which should be stapled/paste to the marked space in the upper right-hand corner of the application form.
♦ A letter with request to issue a visa addressed to the Consular Section of the Embassy of Kazakhstan. Please, indicate the purpose of your trip, your contact in Kazakhstan, the dates of your planned trip, and places to be visited.
♦ A completed visa application form (one per person).
Note: Applicants who are applying for their minor children must additionally present:
♦ A letter with a request to issue a visa addressed to the Consular Section of the Embassy of Kazakhstan. Please indicate the purpose of your trip, your contacts in Kazakhstan including their name and address, the dates of your planned trip, and places to be visited
♦ A copy of the parents' passports
♦ A copy of the child's birth certificate and;
♦ A letter from one of the child's parents stating non-objection to the child's other parent taking him/her to Kazakhstan.
Transit Visas
♦ A valid passport (a photocopy will not be accepted) which should have at least one blank page for a visa. Your passport must be valid for at least six months longer than the validity of the requested visa.
♦ One (1) passport size photo of the applicant which should be stapled/paste to the marked space in the upper right-hand corner of the application form.
♦ A valid visa to the country of destination and copies of your ticket/ itinerary is required.
♦ A completed visa application form (one per person).
NOTE: Transit visa is valid only for five days.
Upon arrival to Kazakhstan all foreign citizens, except citizens of 45 countries mentioned below, have to register at the local Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan or at the hotel within 5 working days. Otherwise they will be fined by the Immigration Service upon departure.
Note
Under the new procedure of issuing visas of the Republic of Kazakhstan single entry business, tourist, private (up to one month) and double entry tourist (up to two month) visas will be issued to citizens of 45 countries, without an official invitation arranged through Kazakhstan authorities (Ministry of Foreign Affairs/ Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan), on the basis of their personal or companies' written statements submitted to the Consular Section of the Embassy of Kazakhstan to Singapore.
The full list of such countries includes: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Republic of Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Republic of Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Republic of Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Ireland, Iceland, Japan, Republic of Latvia, Liechtenstein, Republic of Lithuania, Luxemburg, Malaysia, Republic of Malta, Monaco, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Sultanate of Oman, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, Republic of Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, USA, United Arab Emirates.

Processing Time
The average time for obtaining a Kazakhstan visa is between 2-3 working weeks on average, this is due to the fact the Embassy Of Kazakhstan for New Zealand passport holders is not in Australia.
Once all applicable required forms and documentation has been fully completed and signed were applicable (as per above) and your passport is supplied, please send to our office in Canberra and we will begin the visa processing stage in association with the embassy.
