Passport
You must send your physical passport; copies cannot be used for visa issuance. Your passport's expiration date must be greater than six months from the date you plan to depart the country you intend to work in and must contain at least 2 adjacent blank pages. Foreign passport holders (i.e. not Australian or N.Z.) must submit an immigration residency permit showing at least two years prior residency

Passport-Style Photographs
Passport photographs must meet Passport Photograph Regulations; recently taken and showing current appearance with a white background. Ensure that there is no damage to these photos and do not staple or glue the photos to the application.

Visa Requirements
• Two (2) completed visa application forms.
• Attach two (2) recent passport photographs.
• There are two invitation forms (Form No.1 and 2) which your Iranian counterpart must obtain from Visa and Passport Office of Foreign Ministry of Iran, complete and fax to the Iran's Embassy in Australia
• Please note that the Embassy is unable to process the visa unless they have received forms 1 and 2 from Iran.
• Reference number from the department of foreign affairs in Iran through the sponsor company.
• Passport, which must be valid for a minimum of 6 months, with at least two blank pages.

Note:
The Consular section may call the applicant for interview, if it is necessary

Visa Fees
NOTE: Only pay by Australian Money Order made out to 'The Islamic Republic Of Iran'. There is no refund if the visa is rejected. The holder of other passports should contact our office to be advised of the different visa fees which can be paid by Australian post money order.

Processing Time
Please allow up to one month for the processing of your application. The embassy makes every effort to process applications as quickly as possible but do strongly advise you to check that all required documentation has been submitted and correctly completed.

Once all applicable required forms and documentation has been fully completed and signed were applicable (as per above) and your passport is supplied, please send to our office in Canberra and we will begin the visa processing stage in association with the embassy. Please also ensure that once you have completed all applicable forms and supplied your passport that you also fully complete and signed.
