General Information
Ghana Visas - whether you're looking for a tourist, business or work visa for Ghana CLS can help you Passport You must send your physical passport; copies cannot be used for visa issuance. Your passport must be valid and contain sufficient blank visa pages. Visas are stamps affixed to the blank "visa" pages of your passport. Amendment pages (clearly marked as such) in the back of your passport are not acceptable for visa issuance. The passport's expiration date must be greater than six months from the date you plan to depart the country you intend to visit. If your passport does not meet the requirements, you must renew your passport or obtain a new one prior to obtaining the visa.
Passport-Style Photographs Passport photographs must meet Passport Photograph Regulations; recently taken and showing current appearance with a white background. Ensure that there is no damage to these photos and do not staple or glue the photos to the application.
Visa Requirements ♦ Passport with at least 6 months validity remaining.
♦ Four (4) identical application forms: Please ensure that these forms are fully filled, signed and dated at the bottom. The application form is to be fully completed in BLOCK CAPITALS. If a question does not apply to you please ensure that you write 'not applicable'. PLEASE NOTE THAT INCOMPLETE FORMS & INCORRECT INFORMATION WILL RENDER YOUR APPLICATION FOR PERMIT/VISA VOID.
♦ Four (4) recently-taken passport-sized photographs.
♦ Appropriate applicable embassy visa fee, please see below for current prices and acceptable forms of payment.
♦ An International Certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever
♦ A Return Air Ticket or Flight Itinerary
♦ For visit and tourist visas, names and addresses of two (2) References are required, one of which can be the Hotel where you will be lodging. Special Note for Multiple Entry Applicants:
Multiple entry visa endorsed for six months means that the applicant is granted unlimited entries into Ghana within six (6) months of date of issue of the visa. It does not entitle the applicant to enter and remain in Ghana for six months. On each entry into Ghana, the period of permitted stay will be endorsed by the Ghana Immigration service at the point of entry.
Children Traveling on Parents Passports: Should submit Four (4) Recent Passport-Sized Photographs. The Names and Dates of Birth of the children should be entered on the appropriate section of the Application forms of the Accompanying Parent. Separate are payable per child.
Types of Visas
♦ Business Visas Should be submitted with a letter from your Firm guaranteeing your stay in Ghana and stating the reasons for your visit. Two (2) References are required. Please supply the Names and Addresses of your Business Associates and their Companies as your references in Ghana. A Hotel may be used only as a second reference. The Consular Officer reserves the right to demand a letter of guarantee from your business associates in Ghana.
♦ Tourist Visas Names and addresses of Two (2) References are required, one of which can be the Hotel where you will be lodging.
♦ Study Visas Should be accompanied by a letter from your College Administrator stating the reasons for your visit and your financial means whilst in Ghana. You should provide a Letter of Acceptance from the Institution to which you will be attached to during your practical training in Ghana. Please use the name and address of the Institution in Ghana as your reference in Ghana.
♦ Employment Visas Should be submitted with an Employment Contract, and proof of grant of Employment Quota in Ghana. Two (2) References are required, one of which should be the company or organisation you will be working for whilst in Ghana.

Payments should be made by Money Order or Postal Order, made out to 'High Commission of the Republic of Ghana'.
Processing Time Visas can be processed within 48 hours given that the required documents are provided and that the conditions are met. However a period of 3-5 days should be allowed for any circumstances or issues that may arise during the visa processing period. Once all applicable required forms and documentation has been fully completed and signed were applicable (as per above) and your passport is supplied, please send to our office in Canberra and we will begin the visa processing stage in association with the embassy. Please also ensure that once you have completed all applicable forms and supplied your passport that you also fully complete and signed.
