China visa requirements for applicants from Australian Capital Territory, South Australia , Northern Territory ONLY
Visa Requirements ♦ Applicants passport with minimum validity of 6 months for a single entry visa request.
♦ Applicants passport with 9 months validity for a 6 month multiple entry visa request.
♦ Applicants passport with 15 months validity for a 12 month multiple entry-visa request.
♦ Passport needs to contain at least 2 adjacent blank pages no matter what visa is requested.
♦ One (1) completed Visa Application Form with a passport photograph attached. (Chinese names must be stated where applicable on column 1 U.S. citizens are required to provide two forms). Fill in every column of the form, stating "N/A" where not applicable.
♦ One (1) recently-taken passport size photo (U.S. citizens are required to provide two photos)
♦ Applicable visa fee amount, see below for current visa prices and acceptable forms of payment.
Additional Specific Requirements
Tourist Visa (L Visa) ♦ Please note: Apply for the visa only 1 to 2months before your planned date to enter China. ♦ Itinerary and/or invitation from friends in China. ♦ People born in China must provide their names in Chinese characters to column "1" of the Visa Application Form. ♦ Fill in every column of the Visa Application Form, using "N/A" if not applicable. ♦ The supporting documents will not be returned once lodged with the application. If necessary, please make copy beforehand. Please be aware that no modification will be accepted once the application is lodged.

Business Visa (F Visa) Please note: Apply for the visa only 1 to 2months before your planned date to enter China.
One (1) of the following documents (original or photocopy): a. Invitation letter from the competent office of the Chinese government. b. Invitation letter from the host company in China.

Journalist Visa (J Visa) Letter from the competent office of the Chinese government confirming your activity as a journalist in China.
Entry Visa to Tibet You are advised to participate in Group Tours organized by travel agencies or obtain an approval from Tibetan Tourist Bureau before filing your applications (TTB Fax: 0011-86-891-6834632 or Phone: 0011-86-891-6834313).
Entry Visa to Hong Kong Visas are not required for tourists travelling on Australian passports, who may enjoy a "visa free period for visit not exceeding 3 month". For information about employment or longer stay, or visa requirements for non-Australian nationals, please inquirie with our Visa Office.

Once all applicable required forms and documentation has been fully completed and signed were applicable (as per above) and your passport is supplied, please send to our office in Canberra and we will begin the visa processing stage in association with the embassy. Please also ensure that once you have completed all applicable forms and supplied your passport that you also fully complete and signed.
